Sr. Software Engineer - Web Services

This senior development position will develop and maintain critical web services and components across the Reputation Engineering product line. Some of these web services are customer facing and therefore are coded to the highest possible performance and reliability standards. Internal systems require handling very large data sets and high performance to keep pace with incoming data and product output.

Systems are currently developed and delivered on Windows systems and are being migrated to Linux, therefore a deep understanding of both environments is required for the transition process. New work will be done exclusively on Linux platform.

Responsibilities

• Productize and harden primarily customer-facing systems
• Performance / Reliability / Scalability Analysis and action
• Performance monitoring and profiling / optimization
• Fix defects / QA

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years software engineering experience
• Linux & Windows software development in web systems and services
• Senior-level cross platform coding in C / C++
• TCP / IP networking, packet and socket level coding
• Multi-threaded programming experience required
• SQL Server, My Sql, Transact SQL
• Data structures and design
• Scripting languages and tools for various Linux and Windows environments
• Performance metrics and development experience, including code optimization and profiling
• Design documentation and Configuration management experience
