Sr. Software Engineer - Processes and Automation

This senior development position will develop and maintain processes and automation to analyze and deliver data within the Reputation Engineering product line. Processes include processing input data feeds, sensor network development, crawling, security and content scanning, automatic content, threat IP, and reputation classification, language detection, ETL and publication processes. These processes deliver data to customer facing services and therefore are coded to the highest possible quality and reliability standards. Internal systems require handling very large data sets and high performance to keep pace with incoming data and product output. Near-term work includes improving identification to publication latency time. Future work includes incorporation of new data feeds from desktop clients and enterprise system sensors.

Systems are currently developed and delivered on Windows systems and are being migrated to Linux, therefore a deep understanding of both environments is required for the transition process. New work will be done exclusively on Linux platform.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years software engineering experience
• Expert-level functional database knowledge, including analysis and data integration
• Linux & Windows software development in systems processes and automation
• Senior-level cross platform coding in C / C++, including scripting in various Linux and Windows environments
• Other languages a plus : Python, PHP, Perl
• TCP / IP Networking, socket level and multi-threaded programming
• Performance metrics and development
• Design documentation and Configuration management experience
