Webroot Software Receives Colorado Innovation Award

Award Recognizes Innovation, Entrepreneurialism and Accomplishments of Colorado Technology Enterprises

Boulder, CO., October 17, 2005

Webroot Software, Inc., the leading provider of anti-spyware software and other security technologies for consumer and enterprise markets, today announced it received the Colorado Innovation Award from Celebrate Technology, an organization that recognizes Colorado companies and individuals for their accomplishments in the technological enterprise.

The Colorado Innovation Award recognizes innovation and entrepreneurial spirit within the technology sector, and both individuals and companies within the state of Colorado are eligible for this award. Celebrate Technology specifically focuses on significant ways individuals or companies have contributed to the state, its technological advancement and its economic growth.

"In 1998, the leaders of Webroot made a smart strategic and proactive decision to move its headquarters to Colorado, and in the ensuing years we have been pleased contribute to the technology community and economy in Colorado," said David Moll, Webroot's CEO. "This award is a testament to that contribution, and to the innovative work our Colorado-based employees have performed to propel Webroot into a business leadership position here in Colorado."

The Celebrate Technology award committee began the rigorous evaluation process in May 2005. The final results were announced at the annual Celebrate Technology awards banquet held at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs on September 30. Both nominees and recipients were honored at the banquet.
